JEE 2025: Exam Pattern
JEE 2025 exam will be conducted in two phases: Session 1 (January) & Session 2 (April). The exam will be conducted for admission to B.E/B. Tech, B.Arch. & B.Planning. There will be two papers in one session. Paper 1 is for admission to B.E./B.Tech. Program whereas paper 2 is for admission to B.Arch./B.Planning.
JEE Main Paper 1 Insight:
- Type of Questions: There will be two sections for each subject (Physics, Chemistry, & Mathematics). Section A will have 20 multiple-choice questions whereas Section B will have 10 Numerical Value Questions (NVQ).
- Marking Scheme: 4 marks will be given for each correct (MCQs & NVQ) while one mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer for MCQs. No negative marks will be given for NVQs.
- Duration: 3 hours
JEE Main Paper 2 Insight:
- Paper 2A will be for the B.Arch course consisting of multiple choice questions in Mathematics (Part I) & Aptitude (Part II). Two questions from drawing (Part III) will also be included to check the basic knowledge of drawing in aspirants for the B.Arch program.
- Paper 2B will be for B. Planning course consisting of Mathematics-(Part I), Aptitude Test-(Part II), and Planning (Part III).
- Both exams are conducted in CBT (Computer Based Test) format.
- The duration of both exams is 3 hours.
